NCCC News & Views                             December 2007
By the time you are reading this article, the last Regional meeting will be history.  One area that was covered at the meeting was the scheduling of East Ohio events for 2008.   I will be trying to set our events in the most effective and productive ways.   I will be bidding two Saturday rallies and five car shows spread out over two Sundays.   One Sunday will be in May at Skipco and the other at a site we are working on.  More info on the bidding and other happenings from the Regional meeting at our December meeting.

I have raffle tickets for the Charity give-a-way car.  They are $10 each or three for $25.  Hopefully, Buckeye will continue the practice of purchasing a ticket for each NCCC member as of January 1st.  We have been a continuous 100% Club since the program was started.  The profits from the raffle benefit the National Kidney Foundation and their local chapters.  This year is the bi-annual transplant games where transplant recipients gather to compete, not necessarily to win, because they are all winners by just being there, but to share their personal triumphs with others.  We need to continue to donate to help this cause.  We probably all know someone who has been through this and has been given the second chance.

You should have received the latest issue of Blue Bars, the NCCC publication.  If you have not received one, please let me know.  Look for an article about the Regional Chili & Appetizer Challenge in a future issue.  We had a turnout of about 90-95 people from around the Region.  Buckeye had a group of about a dozen in attendance.  Not only was there a variety of chili, but appetizers, and of course, desserts.  The evening also served as a welcome home to Kay Alexander from her tour in Germany for the last year.  All seemed to enjoy and asked what the date was for next year.  Too bad if missed this year, but plan on being there next year.

See you at the meeting in December
